Teacher Education Access to College for Highschoolers

Using a very simple model--students teaching students--the TEACH program is successful in touching many lives. As one program leader recounts, "I see the eyes of the younger students light up when their tutors walk into the room. And, I see the tutors' eyes light up when they see respect and admiration from the children they help."

TEACH provides high school students with opportunities to explore teaching as a career. It offers workshops in both teaching topics and general college access information. Students are empowered to use the skills they learn by providing tutoring to elementary students in their community through strategies and learning activities. TEACH nurtures students' passion for teaching and guides them on their path.
